Tra tutti per\u00f2, un ruolo centrale \u00e8 rivestito dal <a href=\"http:\/\/materdomini.it\/pazienti\/diagnosi\/esami-laboratorio\/3926-potassio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">potassio<\/a>. Presente nel liquido intracellulare, infatti, \u00e8 responsabile e regolatore del funzionamento neuromuscolare. Pi\u00f9 nello specifico, possiamo dire che, un\u2019adeguata concentrazione di <strong>potassio<\/strong> controlli l\u2019eccitabilit\u00e0 dei muscoli, del sistema nervoso e del battito cardiaco.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Cuore e potassio<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In condizioni normali, un adulto dovrebbe assumere, attraverso la propria alimentazione almeno 3 g di <strong>potassio<\/strong> al giorno. La quantit\u00e0 tocca i 5 g per le donne in stato di gravidanza, mentre cala (attestandosi al di sotto degli 800 mg) per i bambini sotto i tre anni. Quando si verifica un deficit di questo minerale, i primi chiari segnali sono debolezza muscolare e stanchezza cronica.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTra le conseguenze della <strong>ipopotassiemia<\/strong> (carenza di <strong>potassio<\/strong>) vi sono seri <strong>disturbi cardiaci<\/strong> (quali aritmie ventricolari), in particolare, in soggetti con <strong>cardiopatia ischemica<\/strong> ed <strong>insufficienza cardiaca<\/strong>. Come dimostrato dai recenti studi pubblicati sulla US National Library of Medicine &#8211; National Institutes of Health, essere in deficit di questo minerale incrementa sensibilmente il <strong>rischio cardiaco<\/strong>: il cuore infatti, in mancanza di <strong>potassio<\/strong> fatica a rilassarsi nell\u2019intervallo fra una contrazione e l\u2019altra con conseguente riduzione della sua performance ed \u00e8 a rischio di <strong>aritmie<\/strong>, anche maligne\u201d, spiega la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.humanitas-care.it\/medici\/cecilia-fantoni\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">dottoressa Cecilia Fantoni<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.humanitas-care.it\/aree-mediche\/cardiologia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">cardiologa <\/a>presso <a href=\"http:\/\/www.humanitas-care.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Humanitas Medical Care<\/a> e <a href=\"http:\/\/materdomini.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Humanitas Mater Domini<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">S.O.S potassio<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">L\u2019alimentazione moderna, povera di frutta e verdura, sarebbe complice del drastico calo di <strong>potassio<\/strong> che caratterizza la nostra dieta. Quotidianamente, come indica la ricerca coordinata dalla Purdue University, assumiamo solo 700mmol di <strong>potassio<\/strong>, una dose irrisoria rispetto a quella che sarebbe corretta.\u00a0 Alla luce di questo, la strategia pi\u00f9 efficace ed immediata per \u2018ripristinare\u2019 il fabbisogno di questo minerale consiste in una correzione del proprio regime alimentare, non eccedendo nel consumo di sale (cloruro di sodio), abbondando invece con frutta e verdura.
